SOP 11IndustryAdvanced9 steps

Find fleet operators by vehicle type and size

Operators sourced from registries, permits, associations and directories, classified by fleet type and scored on estimated fleet scale.

4 steps not yet verified live

Tool names and credit costs in this recipe are validated. Some steps work around a platform gap that has not been decisively probed, so treat those as a workaround rather than a documented capability. Check the result before you act on it.

Where the list comes from

Registries, permit data, trade associations and directories. Fleet data is not a database filter anywhere, which is the whole point.

The steps

  1. 1

    Orient

Confirm the inputs, compute the expected cost, and tell the user what the run will do before anything spends a credit.

  2. 2

    Source the operators

Operator licence registers are the single best source where they exist, in several countries these are public, list the operating centre, and sometimes state authorised vehicle counts, which is the exact field this SOP otherwise has to estimate.

  3. 3

    Clean and validate rows

Use AI - System Prompt (0.5c) to drop non-company rows. Clean Company Names (0.1c), Clean Location (0.1c). deduplicate_auto, registries list depots and subsidiaries separately, so expect genuine duplicates at the parent level.

  4. 4

    Resolve domains and firmographics

Check Domain Status (FREE). Industry Classifier (0.2c), Company Headcount (0.2c), Company Annual Revenue (1c), Company Address (0.5c). Small hauliers often have no website.

  5. 5

    Classify fleet type

    Workaround

No fleet or vehicle-type classifier. Central to the workflow, entirely absent. Custom Research Tool (1c).

  6. 6

    Estimate fleet scale

    Workaround

No fleet-size or asset-count signal. No native tool estimates physical assets. Custom Research Tool (1c).

  7. 7

    Fleet relevance score

Gate: unknown fleet types cannot score highly. Verify the subtraction works.

  8. 8

    Segment by evidence confidence

Same discipline as SOP 07: Verified, high confidence, cited source. May receive copy naming the fleet type and size band. Probable, medium confidence. Copy references the fleet type only, never a number.

  9. 9

    Run the shared outbound tail

Personas: Operations Director, Fleet Manager, Head of Logistics, Transport Manager, Compliance/Safety Manager, and Founder/Owner at smaller operators.

Where the run should stop

  • Rows are cleaned and validated before domains are resolved.
  • Segment by evidence confidence, because fleet scale is estimated rather than published.

What you should end up with

Operators with a classified fleet type, an estimated scale, a relevance score and a confidence band on the evidence.
