SOP 00CoreIntermediate11 steps

Turn competitor followers into validated prospects

Take a raw follower list from a competitor audience and finish with clean, validated, competitor filtered prospects ready for outreach.

Verified against the live platform

Every step in this recipe rests on a capability that was checked against the live product. It is also already run in production.

Where the list comes from

The list already exists. This recipe starts at deduplication, not at sourcing. Pull the follower list first with a builder or a CSV import.

The steps

  1. 1

    Orient

Confirm the inputs, compute the expected cost, and tell the user what the run will do before anything spends a credit.

  2. 2

    Deduplicate the lead list

Deduplicate once, here at the very start, before any enrichment runs. The whole point is to never pay enrichment credits (LinkedIn 0.25, website 0.1, email 5 cr/row, validation 1) on the same person twice.

  3. 3

Rename the LinkedIn URL column to Sales Navigator

From here, Sales Navigator is the master LinkedIn profile column.

  4. 4

    Find personal LinkedIn profiles

Follow the numbered detail in the skill file. This step is mechanical and its exact tool ids are resolved at run time.

  5. 5

Find remaining profiles with the LinkedIn profile URL custom tool

Runs only on records the previous step did not resolve, this is the credit-saver.

  6. 6

Final check on the Personal LinkedIn naming rule

There is exactly one column holding the person's direct personal LinkedIn URL (linkedin.com/in/...), and it is always named Personal LinkedIn. Not LinkedIn Profile, not LinkedIn profile URL, not Personal Linkedin.

  7. 7

    Find professional emails 5 credits/record

    5 credits per record

Credit check: rows × 5 must fit the balance from Step 0; confirm before running.

  8. 8

Exclude competitors (FILTER, not an enrichment tool , 0 credits)

    0 credits

Do NOT run an enrichment/research tool (e.g. "Competitor Exclusion", a Custom Research Tool, or scoring) for this. Those charge credits per row to re-derive a domain we already have in Professional Email.

  9. 9

    Validate emails

    1 credits per row

Follow the numbered detail in the skill file. This step is mechanical and its exact tool ids are resolved at run time.

  10. 10

Final quality control (remove failing records)

Build a filter for records that fail any of these, preview, then delete: Duplicate Sales Navigator profiles Email Validation Status ≠ DELIVERABLE (i.e.

  11. 11

    Export the final list

    5 credits per record

MANDATORY DELIVERABILITY FILTER (apply before ANY export or CRM/integration push): the table must be filtered so it shows only leads whose Email Validation Status = DELIVERABLE. We only ever export/send deliverable emails.

Where the run should stop

  • Deduplicate once, up front, before any paid enrichment runs.
  • Competitor exclusion is a free filter on the email domain, not an enrichment tool.
  • Decide the catch all email rule before validation, or the run stops and asks.

What you should end up with

Every retained record carries a personal LinkedIn profile, a validated professional email marked deliverable, no competitor domain, no duplicates and complete prospect fields.
